Please! Please Pray!

I just got a call from my brother Buck (more here). Our little brother, Trevor, is in a coma. My Dad is on his way to the hospital now (He lives over an hour away from him). They will not give any information over the phone.

Trevor's MySpace Page. He is a singer/songwriter/recording artist.

UPDATE (1 pm): Trevor is going to live and he is not paralyzed. He was in a one car accident and was ejected from the vehicle.

UPDATE (1:45 pm): Trevor has moments of consciousness now. He recognized our Dad, which is a good sign. He has a head injury and four broken ribs and is all swollen and bruised. Some of his teeth were knocked out. He has no insurance of any kind... I am just so grateful that he is going to live.

UPDATE (3:30 pm): Trevor's head injury includes multiple facial fractures. His 9 year old daughter is taking it pretty hard. They're not letting her see him because they believe it will be too traumatic for her. His in-laws went out to the scene of the accident and told my Dad they don't know how he survived. Trevor has been separated from his wife for around 8 years but they have never officially divorced.

Dear Lord,

We know that everything is in Your mighty hands. Thank you for receiving our prayers of concern and worry and for our faith which is weak in trusting that You have a great plan for all of us. The troubles of the world, the dangers keep us all so concerned and we need to lean on You, our Father, in times of stress, and need, doubt and joy.

Trevor is in a coma and our hearts are very troubled by this news. It's worrisome to not have details that might soothe our hearts and minds. But You are the answer to all our needs and know all of these fears and doubts before we have even mentioned them for You, our Lord, know the deep recesses of our hearts. You created us in Your image, and You care so deeply for each of us. We learn from You how to care about and love others.

So our love for Trevor is what brings us to our knees before Your throne. We know that You, our Savior, have Trevor in the palm of Your hand and that You can heal him. We pray that Trevor would be free of fear and pain. We pray that those who would be ministering to him in a medical capacity would trust in You as the Mighty Healer. We pray that You would be with all those who love Trevor and that Your supernatural love and affection for us would envelope us and fill us with Your peace. Give us clarity of mind as we receive further news.

Thank You for loving us even in our weakness.

In Jesus' name we pray,
AMEN

That all sounds so awful... poor Trevor and his daughter.... BUT he's alive... he will probably recover fully (HOPEFULLY)... you are so lucky he's not dead! Both my brothers died in car accidents (seperate ones)... it is the worst thing that can happen.

O FATHER of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need; We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit, and relieve thy sick servant, Trevor, for whom our prayers are desired. Look upon him with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort him with a sense of thy goodness; preserve him from the temptations of the enemy; and give him patience under his affliction. In thy good time, restore him to health, and enable him to lead the residue of his life in thy fear, and to thy glory; and grant that finally he may dwell with thee in life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for the updates I saw this last night but I didn't have time to leave a message. I have been praying for him and will keep him in my prayers.
It sounds like he is doing very good in a very short time and I am glad to hear that. I had a friend in a car accident that was in a coma for 6 weeks and came out of it in good shape. His mind is slower than it used to be but people that didn't know him before don't notice it.
It might be best that his daughter doesn't see him like this but I fully understand how that is making her feel.
I'll keep checking here to see how he is doing.

I am so sorry for your brother and the worries for his recovery. I am praying that all will come to a good and positive end for your brother, you and the whole family. I pray for strength for his daughter that she might be able to understand that her daddy is going to be okay and that it will just take a while before she can see him. You hang in there CB! Thinking about you lots today!

I am so glad he has moments of consciousness. The biggest worry, of course, is the brain. Fractures heal, scars are what they are. I pray he comes through with his mind, memory, and neural functioning healthy and whole.

I do hope they let his daughter see him. She may only be nine, but she'll probably be the most wanted and welcomed face in the room.

Thank you for the updates. I hope you can get to see him too.
